The Rorate Mass originated in the Middle Ages and is a Votive Mass in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary, during the season of Advent, when we contemplate the Incarnation of Jesus.

A sizeable group of Catholics gathered at 6.30am in a darkened Holy Ghost Church to celebrate this very special Mass in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The entire Mass was conducted by candlelight and was presided over by Monsignor Kevin McGinnell.
